this may sound like a very stupid question, but when creating a character the form asks for an alias, what is that? and it also says to post it in a new thread, what does that mean? I apologies for my stupidity computers are not my strong point so if this was already anwsered i just can't find it.

An alias is a nickname, anything that people call your character besides their given name. And what you do to post it is go to the "How to Join" board, there should be a link at the top right hand corner that says "new thread" click it, then post. Hope that clears things up!
